The Power to Inspire Action

How your company displays itself through print directly affects consumers’ perceptions of your brand. Print is not simply another way for your company to communicate. Print is an extension of your brand. Print has the power to inspire action.

From the many studies that we’ve looked at in the past few posts, it becomes obvious that the physical nature of print has huge impacts on the human brain. It impacts our attention, our emotions, and our memory.

What does this mean for your brand?

Print is not only more memorable, but Walnut Unlimited also cites a 2015 study that discovered more information about the brain. This study showed more brain activity in the areas referred to as the brain’s “buy now” button.

The Power to Inspire Action

USPS not only found that subjects spent 40% longer looking at print ads than digital ads, but they also found something else. These subjects demonstrated a significantly higher response rate in emotional action, perceived value, memory, and desire for the product.

Brand Extension

And print also conveys and extends the brand itself. Our emotional response to print strongly affects our perception of quality. Premium or luxury brands using quality paper stock directly influence their audience’s perception of the brand. When print marketing is used effectively, the return on investment is high because it inspires action.

So when used, print moves beyond merely a medium to carry a message. It becomes an extension of the brand. Make sure it’s used correctly.
