You already know that I want entrepreneurs to enroll in Attract + Transform to learn Affinity Publisher. And that I think learning graphic design is important for any small business, and that I think Affinity Publisher is the best graphic design program for entrepreneurs.
I've already described my response to the objections that “free programs are better” and “searching for the answers is cheaper.” (And if you would like to hear it again, click here to see the video.)
But what you haven’t heard yet is my response to the objection that “Indesign is better.” And while this is a common objection, let me tell you why it’s unfounded.
But first, a story.

Back in the day
As a graphic designer, I grew up on Adobe. After working at a print shop, Indesign quickly became my favorite program — over both Photoshop and Illustrator. At first, I was skeptical that any program could out-perform Indesign. But with Adobe’s current monthly pricing model, I began to wonder if there was another option — an alternative. I didn’t think there was. But after some searching around, I am so thankful to have found Affinity! I have fallen in love with the Affinity programs, and now especially Affinity Publisher (Affinity’s equivalent to Indesign)!
Affinity says of itself,
Ever since the conception of Affinity our vision was to produce a creative suite of apps that work seamlessly together. That always meant our apps would share the same file format, but we wanted to take things to a whole new level.
This is something that sets Affinity apart. Not only can any Affinity file be opened in any Affinity app, and all three applications can be used from within Affinity Publisher (which saves oodles of time). You don’t even need the other two — excellent — apps to be able to perform high-level vector and photo editing capabilities within Affinity Publisher.
I still definitely recommend owning the other two (because you can do more than you can in just Publisher), but you’re not crippled without them.
I believe this feature sets Affinity far above the competition. This is why I will always recommend that entrepreneurs and small business owners learn Affinity Publisher.
